Dr. Anuradha Roy is presently serving at Banaras Hindu University in the Faculty of Ayurveda, Department of Prasuti Tantra since 2007. She completed under-graduation from Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Guwahati under Gauhati University in the year 2001. She was a University topper & Gold Medalist for all the professional years. She completed Post-graduation in Prasuti Tantra and Stree Roga from I.P.G.T & R.A, Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar in July, 2006. She did her Ph.D from BHU in the Department of Prasuti Tantra in the year 2013. Her professional career started from Punjab, Moga, SSMD Ayurvedic College and Hospital as Lecturer, Prasuti Tantra and Stree Roga and RMO for nine months after completion of PG. After that she joined Banaras Hindu University (B.H.U) as Assistant Professor in the year 2007.
She has more than 25 research publications, delivered more than 60 Guest lectures as Resource Person, is an editor and member of editorial board of refereed journals, has won 11 various prestigious medals and honors for her academics and professional career. Contributed 04 Chapters in Text Book and Knowledge-based volumes. Dr. Roy’ thrust area of interest are Ovary and its interplay in women health and disease, Vishistha Garbhini Charya and SOP development in Sthanik Chikitsa in Stree Roga and Prasuti Tantra. Her goal is lifestyle modification in women health care and encouraging active participation of women herself in health and disease management through holistic approach of Ayurveda. She feels and believes that in preventive as well as curative management of any condition the main game-changer is the Doctor-Patient relationship, a proper counseling and an adequate knowledge of the condition which is very important in today’s era.
