Dr. Nishant Barapatre has received a basic degree of BAMS from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik and completed his Master’s in the subject Agada Tantra Evum Vidhi Vaidyaka (Ayurvedic Toxicology and Medical Jurisprudence) from Tilak Ayurved College, Pune. His other qualifications include MA in Sanskrit Language, Diploma in Herbal Drugs Manufacturing Management, Diploma in Emergency Medical Services etc. He has received a Fellowship in Transdisciplinary Research from Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences, SPPU, Pune; which was sponsored by Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & FW, Government of India.
He is also pursuing his PhD from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune on a part time basis. He has undertaken an Experimental Research to explore a topical application for Local Side-effects of Bhallataka Taila. His other area of interest is Medical Jurisprudence, and he has completed his post-graduate research to investigate the impact of 2002 Amendments on Consumer Protection Act (CPA) in the cases of Medical Negligence.
He presently works as a Lecturer (Class-2) in Department of Agada Tantra at Sheth JP Government Ayurved College, Bhavnagar (Gujarat). He holds an experience of almost Six years as an Academician. He has published multiple Research articles, Review articles and Book Reviews in various peer-reviewed as well as PubMed-indexed journals. He is also working as a Reviewer for Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine (JAIM) and PDEA’s International Journal of Research in Ayurved & Allied Sciences (IJRAAS).
