Dr. Sathyanarayana Badekila is graduated in Ayurveda with BAMS degree from SDM college of Ayurveda Udupi. He did his post-graduation M.D. in the subject Baishajya Kalpana i.e. Ayurveda pharmaceutics from IPGT and RA, Jamnagar, Gujarat Ayurved University. He has the experience of teaching in the subjects – Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana(Ayurvedic pharmaceutics) and research methodology in Ayurveda for both undergraduate and post graduate students since last 19 years. He is actively involved in, design and development of Ayurvedic formulations, Quality control of Ayurvedic medicines, research on single herbs and herbomineral preparations and clinical Research in Muniyal Ayurveda Hospital. He is a recognized guide for PG and Ph.D studies under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. He has guided 15 PG dissertations of Ayurveda and one M.Pharm dissertation. He is a member, Board of Studies at BHU, Varanasi. He has published more than 30 research papers in national and international journals. He is a reviewer for three international journals. He has presented more than 60 papers in various national and international conferences besides chairing the scientific sessions and recently received best paper award at International Conference held in Colombo Srilanka. He is currently working as Principal, Medical Superintendent and Director, Research and Development at Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences, Manipal. He is MR for ISO in Muniyal Ayurveda Research Center. He is actively involved in cancer research for last 15 years. He is an adviser for literary research committee that is involved in the revival of ancient Indian wisdom.
