Dr. Vandana Verma is currently working as an Assistant Professor (stage -2) in the Department of Kriya Sharir, Faculty of Ayurveda, IMS, BHU, Varanasi. She has pursued her B.A.M.S. from State Ayurvedic College, Lucknow. She completed her M.D.(Ay) in Kriya Sharir and also Ph.D. in in Kriya Sharir from Banaras Hindu University. She has successfully completed Diploma in Yoga, and Health Research Fundamental certificate Courses.
The areas of her special interest include Kriya Sharir, Prakriti, Ayurveda Biology, Physiological Basis of Panchakarma Procedures. She has a total teaching experience of 10 years. Dr. Vandana has Supervised -1 M.D. (Ay.) thesis work in Kriya sharir and has Co- supervised – 4 M.D.(Ay.) Kriya sharir thesis works. She has 3 Ph.D. research scholars working under her supervision and 1 PG and PhD scholar each as co-supervisor. She has authored 12 papers and 5 chapters in different volumes. She has presented 14 papers in different conferences and has attended about 25 workshops. She is a Life Member of Bharatiya Sangyaharak Association (Association of Anaesthestists of Indian Medicine). She has won “Best Ph.D. (Sharir) Thesis award for 2014” by All India Research Institute, Lucknow and “Versatile scholar of Kriya Sharir, Award 2017” by Ayurveda Anushandhan Sansthan, Chhatisgarh.
