Prof. YK Sharma

Prof. YK Sharma is known as an excellent teacher in the field of Ayurveda and has been awarded lifetime achievement award for contribution towards Ayurveda teaching. He has published about 50 Research papers, guided over 50 Research projects and has conducted clinical research for Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India and also for other renowned pharmaceutical industries. He has got work experience as Principal/Dean of Post-Graduate Ayurvedic College and as a senior medical Superintendent of 200 Bed Post Graduate Ayurveda college Paprola. He is a renowned Clinician of Kayachikitsa (Internal medicine) and has been judged as one of the “Top 10” Physicians of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. He has drafted and worked with various field projects related to Ayurveda like Geriatric care, Antenatal care through Ayurveda, etc. He has worked with various Social Organizations like ‘Sankalp”, ‘Nirmal Khanna Memorial Society-Regd” for providing health care assistance to weaker section of society. Prof. YK Sharma has participated in the drafting of various projects for financial assistance like “Regional Center of Excellence of Geriatric Health care”, ‘Establishment of AYUSH University” “Advance Research Laboratory of Ayurveda” “Center of Excellence in Ayurveda”, etc. He has authored chapters in about 30 books. He has been invited as expert Speaker at various platforms within and outside India and has delivered over 200 lectures as Expert Speaker. He has been invited to over 75 national and International Level Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, etc as resource person. He has been working with Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India; for various projects like “member task force for Geriatric Health care”, Teacher/student Interactive workshops, member “Sub-Committee of AYUSH, Planning Commission of India”, Module drafting of CME/ROTP training of Teachers and Physicians of Ayurveda, Curriculum Drafting of BAMS, PG Classes, etc. He is also a dedicated Administrator, Teacher, Researcher, clinician, Expert Speaker, Social worker, Traveler, Sports enthusiast, Faculty and Student-friendly, etc.
