Prof. Sangeeta Gehlot

Prof. Sangeeta Gehlot currently working in the Department of Kriya Sharir, Faculty of Ayurveda, Banaras Hindu University. She has pursued her BAMS from state Ayurvedic College Lucknow. She has completed her M.D.(Ay) and Ph.D. in Kriya Sharir from Banaras Hindu University.  Her postgraduate work was to assess the response of thyroid adrenocortical hormones in obese infertile females and her doctoral work was on management of Chronic intractable pain by Pharmacological and non pharmacological methods. She has developed many tools for assessment of Prakriti, Sara and Agni. Her research interests comprise of Exercise Physiology, Ayurveda Physiology, Ayurveda education, Diabetes. She has supervised 13 Ph.D  and 10 MD thesis. She has authored 80 research papers, 20 chapters in different books. She has delivered lectures in various institutes of India on different topics of  Ayurveda physiology. She is actively involved in delivering radio talks.  She has got 25 years teaching and research experience. She has more than 11 years administrative experience as Head and 7 years experience as administrative warden. She has received best thesis award and fellowship from All India Sharir Research Institute Lucknow. She is also the recipient of Agrani Pragya Award, 2017 from Ayurvrda Anusandhan Sansthan, Chattisgarh. She has worked as expert member in selection committees of different Universities, UPSC  and Public Service Commissions of different states.
